The Story Behind Nomad Tote Bag

While driving on a road trip through a small town in inland Mexico, I stumbled upon an bustling outdoor market that was selling everything from live chickens to antiques. Curious at what treasure I might find, I found myself walking down a quiet isle toward a small bag stand.

A man and women were engaged in a conversation with a local customer. With each bag I touched I could feel the love and intention that comes with bespoke handmade goods. They were husband and wife and kind enough to share their story with me, a family legacy of craftmanship passed down through generations.

"I think with my hands," she stated. "My hands and my heart are what help me succeed in creating these beautiful bags. Every stitch, every fold, is a testament to the uniqueness of the individual. Just as no two people are the same, each item is unique, a reflection of the individuality that defines us all."

The husband and wife explained that they craft not only handmade goods but also the workshop serves as sanctuary for local women, offering them employment and training in a safe, nurturing environment.

I knew I wanted to work with them, thus born our collaboration with this likeminded conscious family.
