The story. A mesa is a stone table: flat-topped, sun-warmed, holding the quiet of the high desert long after the day has cooled. This hat takes its color and weight from that landscape. The camel felt is the color of red stone in late light. The pencil cross-stitch at the crown is a small mark of the maker's hand. The suede tie sits loose, ready to loosen further with the hours. It's the heaviest of the new pieces and the most grounded, a hat that asks to be worn into the wind, not protected from it.
