Depart Mazatlan, heading southeast on Highway 15 for 12 mi/20 km. At Villa Union, turn left (heading east, or inland, toward Durango) onto Highway 40. Travel about another 12 mi/20 km to Concordia. The entrance to town is marked with a giant wooden chair, in honor of the furniture company. Continue east on Highway 40 for about 20 mi/35 km into Copala.
	Depart Copala heading west (toward the coast) on Highway 40. At Villa Union, turn right (heading north)toward Mazatlan. This is back-tracking on the same route you previously traveled when you departed Mazatlan. Their are many Mazatlan tour agencies that offer guided tours of Copala which may be contacted for further accomidations.
